Theodore Strack-Grose
Theodore is an arts doula; that is, they bring individual and collective imagination into the world as art. They began this journey at fifteen, when they discovered stage management: finally, they thought, a way to be involved with theatre and to make something impactful to show the world without being on the stage! Since then, they have pursued many technical, administrative, and supporting roles in the performing arts, from costume design to data analysis; scenery building to grant writing; hosting donor events to managing program budgets. Throughout this time, Theodore has been driven by the faith that the arts will change the world. The more we create works that envision new, beautiful, fascinating, or even horrible worlds, the more our audiences will believe in their own power to change the world we live in. That’s all they want to do, after all; change the world.
Outside of this vocation, Theodore can be found reading genre novels with a cat on their lap. The cosier the murder mystery and the fluffier the cat, the better.
